After careful consideration, I have decided to move this blog to WordPress. Although I enjoyed having this blog at Vox, WordPress offers a bit more than Vox does, and seems to suit my needs better. I will keep the Vox version of this blog up for awhile as an archive, though. Please follow this link to the new, improved, Jolie-Pitt resource: The New, Improved Jolie-Pitt Resource! And a huge thank you to Vox for hosting this blog for the past several months!
Brad has now confirmed to the Phillipine Daily Inquirer that Shiloh is indeed in CCOBB! Since many of us are speculating on when and where the J-Ps will adopt their next child, I created a little survey (minus the "When" question as that is already asked in the poll on the side of the page! Anyway, here it is: The Jolie-Pitt Adoption Survey
And here's the trailer feature cutie-pie Shi's film debut!
This is a picture of Shi on the set of CCOB with Brad, likely the same day she filmed her big scene. Look how little she was!
Angie has been doing the media rounds again, this time for the DVD release of Kung Fu Panda. Opening up even more about how it was Brad who convinced her to get pregnant, she admitted that, before Brad came along, she wasn't sure she would "ever be comfortable with getting pregnant". "I just thought there were so many children in the world I never felt I needed to create a life," she explained. However, things changed when she met Brad. The proud mom of six commented that "I was thinking of only adoptive children, but he saw a big family mixed with adoptive and born children. And I ended up falling in love with a man who I think was destined to have children and suddenly one day it felt right and there it was."
Angie also explained that adoption is something that is celebrated in the Jolie-Pitt household. "We talk about orphanages, we talk about their countries and differences, and it's a source of excitement and pride," she said. She then shared a very cute quote made by Maddox, who was discussing pregnancy and adoption with Zee: "No, Zee, remember, you were in that nice African woman's belly. I was in that nice Cambodian woman." As for the question everyone's been asking: Will the Jolie-Pitts adopt again? Angie confirmed that "Most likely we'll adopt again." She also reititerated that she and Brad bring new children into the family only when the others are ready by saying "As we layer them in, with two new ones, we're watching that balance, that shape and form, and once we feel that's solid, we’ll know when it’s time to bring in another.
The topic of Angie's photos in this month's issue of W Magazine, which were taken by Brad himself, also came up in the interview. While there has been controversy over the cover, which depicts Angie breastfeeding one of the twins, Angie explained that, in fact, they actually ended up toning things down a bit! "We'd look at the pictures as art and say this is a really interesting photograph, but then we’d know better and we'd think about how it was going to be received. So we made it a little more tame than it was originally," she explained.
The Jolie-Pitt kids love their mom's character Tigress in Kung Fu Panda. In fact, they have several Tigress dolls, which they call "mom dolls"! "They have mom dolls everywhere. They have the Tigress. They love Tigress. They have a big Tigress doll that they keep putting diapers on!" Angie shared. She also talked about the newest members of the family, Knox and Viv. "They are starting to get very smiley and they are at those months where their personalities really start to shine. So it is very fun." she shared.
Angelina once commented that she and Brad don't worry about what's said about them "Unless it's in the New York Times". Well, talk about ironic. Angie just recently gave an interview to that very newspaper! She addressed the issue of how fast they've expanded their family, explaining: "I know we seem crazy, just bringing them in one after the other, but we do plan, We make sure one is absorbed completely into the family before we add another." Now that's what I love about Angie! She knows what the media and the public think of her family, but she doesn't let it bother her one little bit, nor does she try to be who or what the media and the general public want her to be. She's who SHE wants to be, and she's proud of it!
Angie also talked about Knox and Viv, calling them "lovely" and saying that "All I wished for was that they'd be healthy, because I was nervous since they were twins. They are, and they're great." Although this particular interview wasn't taped, I urge you to watch the interview she gave to the Today Show. In it, you can tell that she isn't just talking about the twins, she's gushing about them! It's obvious that she loves those two little cuties more than anything! I like the fact that she seems to be much more open talking about Knox and Viv than she was about talking about Shi when she was a newborn.
Angie also said that she can't wait until her kids are old enough to see Mr. and Mrs. Smith, noting that "Not a lot of people get to see a movie where their parents fell in love." A lot of people dislike that comment, but I actually think it's sweet! Angie's right, not many people DO get to see a movie where their parents fell in love! :)

In an interview on The Today show, Angie spoke briefly about when the family plans to adopt their next child. When asked when and if she and Brad plan to add to their brood, she coyly responded, "I have something in mind." She added that, "You can't even start the process until any new children are six months old. It's a smart thing...to understand when to bring another child in."
Given her statement and when Pax arrived in the family after Shiloh's birth, I'm guessing Jolie-Pitt kid number 7 will be added to the brood sometime around next November. I also predict that it will be another African girl. :)
After what seems like an eternity of waiting, we finally have the cover photo of the much-anticapted November issue of W Magazine, featuring photos of the Jolie-Pitt family, snapped by Brad himself! The cover shows an amazing, beautiful picture of Angie breastfeeding one of the twins. I don't want to get into legal trouble by posting the cover image myself, so here's the link to it: Angie on W Cover. Angie also spoke more about her family, both to W and the German version of Vanity Fair. The mom of six shared that dealing with jet-lag isn't easy even for them! "After the flight from Europe [to New York], we were all suffering a bit from jetlag," Angie told the German version of Vanity Fair. She added, "Although we went to bed early, [the kids] were up at 4:30 a.m. goofing around." Luckily for her, Brad stepped in! "Brad took care of things. He just said, 'Go back to sleep, you have to work tomorrow' and then went to the living room with the kids. He's an amazing father: totally devoted." Angie shared.
Angie also shared more about the twins. "When you look at them, it's like they were made for each other," Knox and Viv's proud mother explained. "They smile at each other, sniff each other, touch each other. It's just beautiful." Angie went on to add that ""They already have completely different personalities. Knox is more the quiet one, very relaxed, while Viv is a little more aggressive and loud. It's funny, Knox looks more like Brad and Viv more like me."
The actress opened up even more to W, speaking in depth for the first time about how it was Brad who convinced her to have biological children. She shared:
"I think one of the life changing things that he did, one of many, is that I was absolutely never going to get pregnant. I never felt that it was the right thing to do. [But when I saw him with Maddox and Zahara,] I knew that he would never see them as different, and that gave me a certain peace.
I suppose I just looked at him and loved him and just felt open to [getting pregnant]. I suddenly wanted to. It's one of those things you can't explain. I wouldn't trade that experience for the world. It taught me a lot about life, just the process of it, and now we have three other beautiful children that wouldn't otherwise be here."

While in the U.S. for the premire of her movie "Changeling", Angie was nice enough to give us an update on the kids. According to their proud mommy, Knox and Vivienne are "Getting big and healthy and developing personalities". Angie also shared that the twins "Are the cutest things in the world. They do nothing but smile". As for Knox and Viv's older siblings, Angie shares that they "Are to busy to be jealouse because they are so busy with each other". Naturally, with two new babies in the house, sleep is pretty scarce for Angie and Brad. Angie admits "We do have some help a few nights a week and use that time to catch up on our sleep".
As for how Angie got that amazng post-baby body...It's all due to active kids and hungry babies! She notes "I've been running around with all of the other kids, and breastfeeding, which I think is a part of your body's recovery. It's genetics." She goes on to say, "Certain people are different in their shape. But I'm breastfeeding and I think that's it. That's how your body naturally responds." Angelina and Brad plan to have more children...But not right away. "We're going to wait a little while," Angie explained.
I just want to say kudos to Angie for sticking with nursing twins!

I made a photo album of various photos of the Jolie-Pitts, chronicling the family's growth from just two people (Angie and Maddox) to eight. I hope you like it!
Seeing as there hasn't been much to post lately, I decided to make a collage of photos of all the Jolie-Pitt kids as babies (or in Pax's case, when he was first adopted). They (except for the twins, who are still newborns, obviously!) have all grown and changed a lot, haven't they? Little Z especially has grown and changed a lot. Remember how sick she was when Angie first adopted her? Happily, that's actually hard to believe looking at her now! :)
After reading the interview accompanying Knox and Viv's first photoshoot, I'd like to clear a few things up:
1. Angie and Brad did NOT use IVF to concieve the twins as has been reported. Angie said that, if that had been the case "we'd have been happy to discuss it" but that "happily, we have never had any fertility problems".
2. I was a bit incorrect about where the twins' names came from. Knox IS named after Brad's grandfather, and obviously Viv's middle name of Marcheline is after Angie's beloved mother. However, Leon apparently wasn't chosen because it was Angie's great-grandfather's name (It's possible that the report of her having a great-grandfather with that name wasn't even true to begin with), but because, as Brad says, "It is a classic French name". As for Vivienne? It just "came" to Angie and Brad early in the pregnancy. "She's always been Viv," Brad explained.
3. Those reports about Shi being jealouse of her new siblings and having terrible tantrums because of that? Bogus! "Z and Shi are like little mommies to the twins. They pick out their clothes and help feed them," Angie shared, adding that "Shi calls them her babies".
4. Just as she did with Shi, Angie is breastfeeding Knox and Viv. They feed "every three hours" says their proud mommy.
