Angie has been doing the media rounds again, this time for the DVD release of Kung Fu Panda. Opening up even more about how it was Brad who convinced her to get pregnant, she admitted that, before Brad came along, she wasn't sure she would "ever be comfortable with getting pregnant". "I just thought there were so many children in the world I never felt I needed to create a life," she explained. However, things changed when she met Brad. The proud mom of six commented that "I was thinking of only adoptive children, but he saw a big family mixed with adoptive and born children. And I ended up falling in love with a man who I think was destined to have children and suddenly one day it felt right and there it was."
Angie also explained that adoption is something that is celebrated in the Jolie-Pitt household. "We talk about orphanages, we talk about their countries and differences, and it's a source of excitement and pride," she said. She then shared a very cute quote made by Maddox, who was discussing pregnancy and adoption with Zee: "No, Zee, remember, you were in that nice African woman's belly. I was in that nice Cambodian woman." As for the question everyone's been asking: Will the Jolie-Pitts adopt again? Angie confirmed that "Most likely we'll adopt again." She also reititerated that she and Brad bring new children into the family only when the others are ready by saying "As we layer them in, with two new ones, we're watching that balance, that shape and form, and once we feel that's solid, we’ll know when it’s time to bring in another.
The topic of Angie's photos in this month's issue of W Magazine, which were taken by Brad himself, also came up in the interview. While there has been controversy over the cover, which depicts Angie breastfeeding one of the twins, Angie explained that, in fact, they actually ended up toning things down a bit! "We'd look at the pictures as art and say this is a really interesting photograph, but then we’d know better and we'd think about how it was going to be received. So we made it a little more tame than it was originally," she explained.
The Jolie-Pitt kids love their mom's character Tigress in Kung Fu Panda. In fact, they have several Tigress dolls, which they call "mom dolls"! "They have mom dolls everywhere. They have the Tigress. They love Tigress. They have a big Tigress doll that they keep putting diapers on!" Angie shared. She also talked about the newest members of the family, Knox and Viv. "They are starting to get very smiley and they are at those months where their personalities really start to shine. So it is very fun." she shared.
Angelina once commented that she and Brad don't worry about what's said about them "Unless it's in the New York Times". Well, talk about ironic. Angie just recently gave an interview to that very newspaper! She addressed the issue of how fast they've expanded their family, explaining: "I know we seem crazy, just bringing them in one after the other, but we do plan, We make sure one is absorbed completely into the family before we add another." Now that's what I love about Angie! She knows what the media and the public think of her family, but she doesn't let it bother her one little bit, nor does she try to be who or what the media and the general public want her to be. She's who SHE wants to be, and she's proud of it!
Angie also talked about Knox and Viv, calling them "lovely" and saying that "All I wished for was that they'd be healthy, because I was nervous since they were twins. They are, and they're great." Although this particular interview wasn't taped, I urge you to watch the interview she gave to the Today Show. In it, you can tell that she isn't just talking about the twins, she's gushing about them! It's obvious that she loves those two little cuties more than anything! I like the fact that she seems to be much more open talking about Knox and Viv than she was about talking about Shi when she was a newborn.
Angie also said that she can't wait until her kids are old enough to see Mr. and Mrs. Smith, noting that "Not a lot of people get to see a movie where their parents fell in love." A lot of people dislike that comment, but I actually think it's sweet! Angie's right, not many people DO get to see a movie where their parents fell in love! :)

After what seems like an eternity of waiting, we finally have the cover photo of the much-anticapted November issue of W Magazine, featuring photos of the Jolie-Pitt family, snapped by Brad himself! The cover shows an amazing, beautiful picture of Angie breastfeeding one of the twins. I don't want to get into legal trouble by posting the cover image myself, so here's the link to it: Angie on W Cover. Angie also spoke more about her family, both to W and the German version of Vanity Fair. The mom of six shared that dealing with jet-lag isn't easy even for them! "After the flight from Europe [to New York], we were all suffering a bit from jetlag," Angie told the German version of Vanity Fair. She added, "Although we went to bed early, [the kids] were up at 4:30 a.m. goofing around." Luckily for her, Brad stepped in! "Brad took care of things. He just said, 'Go back to sleep, you have to work tomorrow' and then went to the living room with the kids. He's an amazing father: totally devoted." Angie shared.
Angie also shared more about the twins. "When you look at them, it's like they were made for each other," Knox and Viv's proud mother explained. "They smile at each other, sniff each other, touch each other. It's just beautiful." Angie went on to add that ""They already have completely different personalities. Knox is more the quiet one, very relaxed, while Viv is a little more aggressive and loud. It's funny, Knox looks more like Brad and Viv more like me."
The actress opened up even more to W, speaking in depth for the first time about how it was Brad who convinced her to have biological children. She shared:
"I think one of the life changing things that he did, one of many, is that I was absolutely never going to get pregnant. I never felt that it was the right thing to do. [But when I saw him with Maddox and Zahara,] I knew that he would never see them as different, and that gave me a certain peace.
I suppose I just looked at him and loved him and just felt open to [getting pregnant]. I suddenly wanted to. It's one of those things you can't explain. I wouldn't trade that experience for the world. It taught me a lot about life, just the process of it, and now we have three other beautiful children that wouldn't otherwise be here."

The Jolie-Pitt twins are introduced to the world in this week's issues of PEOPLE and Hello magazines! I do not want to risk getting in trouble by posting the cover photo myself, so I'm linking to Celebrity Baby Blog's posting of it. :)
When I first created this blog, I quickly decided that I wouldn't editorilize. However, just this once, I'm going to make an exception. I would like to share my experience with finding out that Knox and Vivienne had been born, along with a few other thoughts about them. Around midnight on Sunday, July 13, I accidentally stumbled across a post on some website (I don't remember exactly which one) that the twins had been born. At that point, it was just a rumor, especially since a spokesperson for the hospital had said earlier that the report about the births was "incorrect information" (given the approxamite time this statement was given and the time the twins were born, I strongly suspect that, at the time of the statement, the twins had, in fact, not yet been born!).
I spent the next few hours scouring the Internet for more information and, ideally, a confirmation (I was very skeptical in the beginning, as it had been rumored back in late May that Angie had had the twins...and names had even been reported. They were supposably both girls, named Isla Marcheline and Amelie Jane). I nearly drove myself crazy in the process! Finally I came upon something interesting in the comments of a post about the rumroed births on E!Online: Apparently, just as s/he had done when Shiloh was born, Angie's lawyer had snapped up just about every possible domain name with "Knox" and/or "Vivienne" in it. I quickly went to Whois.com, where you can look up a domain name and see who owns it. I looked up both "Knoxjoliepitt.com" and "Viviennejoliepitt.com", and discovered that they had indeed been bought by Angie's lawyer.
I knew that there was almost zero chance that some one could have faked that, but yet I still, for some reason, could not belive the report of the birth 100 percent. I then went to PEOPLE Magazine's website (I knew that, if the report was true, they'd post it even at that late/early hour, since they post breaking news like that no matter what time of day or night it is!)....and must have hit "refresh" about ten million times! Finally, around 2:30 a.m., PEOPLE posted it. I am not kidding, I actually breathed a sigh of relief! Finally all of those false rumors could come to an end, finally the speculation of why Angie had been admitted to the hospital a few weeks prior could stop, and finally I knew, with 100 percent certainty, that the J-P twins had arrived!
I was a bit surprised to hear that Angie had had a boy and a girl, as all the tabs had been reporting she was expecting twin girls (not that I usually believe the tabs, but when all of them are reporting the same thing, you can't help but get a little suspicious!). I will admit, I had even hoped they would have twin girls (especially since Brad once made a comment about wanting "a house-full of girls"). However, as soon as I heard the news, I became just as excited as everyone else to see what Angie and Brad's first (and very likely only) biological son looks like (not that I don't think Maddox and Pax are adorable!).
I was both surprised and not surprised by the names. "Knox" didn't surprise me at all, as it fits very well with "Maddox" and "Pax", and just sounds, IMO, like a name Angie and Brad would use. The middle name "Leon" didn't surprise me either, as Angie and Brad have given all of their kids names that can work as last names should they want to drop Jolie-Pitt from their name once they get older (just as Angie's own parents gave her and her brother James middle names that would work as last names if they ended up deciding to drop Voight from their name....Which they both did.): Chivian, Thien, Marley, and Nouvel. Leon fit perfectly with that theme. The middle name "Marcheline" surprised me a little, as though I fully expected that to be incorportad into the girl's name somehow (as it was Angie's beloved mother's name), it didn't strike me as being able to be a last name right away. However, now I have realized that I can see it as a last name. The name that surprise me the most was "Vivienne", as it seemed much more "normal" than the names Angie and Brad have given their other kids. However, I then found out that the name Vivienne means "live". Therefore, Vivienne's full name quite literally means "Live Marcheline (Marcheline has no specific meaning, as Angie's mother created it by combinding her given names, Marcia and Lynn)". What a sweet tribute to Angie's mother! Knox and Leon are family names as well, Knox being the name of Brad's grandfather and Leon being the name of one of Angie's great-great grandfathers.
To wrap this up, I don't know about the rest of you, but I can't wait to see Knox and Vivi's first photos!
Angelina, Knox, and Vivienne were released from Lenval Hospital around 4:00 in the morning on Saturday, June 19, exactly one week after the twins' debut. The hospital said in a statement that "The mother and her babies are doing well". Thankfully, Angie and babies managed to slip out of the hospital without paparazzi attention!

Yes, folks, you read that correctly, Angelina and Brad have finally welcomed their twins! Angelina's Ob/gyn Dr. Michel Sussmann confirmed to PEOPLE magazine that she delivered a son and a daughter via C-section on Saturday, July 12. Knox Leon arrived first, at 6:27 p.m. and weighed in at 5.3 lbs. Vivienne Marcheline followed one minute later at 6:28 p.m. and weighed in at 5 lbs. Dr. Sussman told PEOPLE: "The babies are doing well. Angelina is in very good spirits. Brad Pitt was by her side. He was there and all was well". Congrats to Angie, Brad, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh! And welcome to the world Knox and Vivienne!

Angelina was admitted to Lenval Hopsital in Nice, France on Monday night....But not to give birth. According to a rep from the hospital, she was admitted under "standard procedure" for "normal pregnancy monitering". "There was no medical emergency," the rep said. She also said that the hospitlization "is something she had planned with her doctor for the end of the pregnancy for some time." The rep adds that the twins aren't expected to make their appearence within the immedite future, and that Angie is "very happy and in excellent health". In case anyone's wondering, it is quite common for women carrying multiples to be admitted to the hospital for monitoring at the end of the pregnancy.

I have been without a computer for the majority of the past month, so I was unable to update. Since that happened, two very important Jolie-Pitt related news items have occured. First and foremost, I want to wish a belated happy 2nd birthday to the littlest Jolie-Pitt, Shiloh! Shiloh won't be the littlest Jolie-Pitt for long, though, which brings me to the second piece of news. Practically the whole world knows this by now, but I can't resist posting it anyway: Rumors have been swirling ever since the pregnancy rumors themselves were flying that Angelina and Brad are actually expecting twins. At the Cannes Film Festival, Angie's "Kung Fu Panda" costar Jack Black accidentally (much to his mortification, he revealed later on) blurted out that in this case, the rumors are, in fact, TRUE!! Angie's costar Dustin Hoffman has also revealed that the babies are due on August 19th. Being twins usually come early, however, it is likely that she will deliver in July.
